The Rother Woods area (between Robertsbridge and Rye in East Sussex) has been identified as one of the most important areas for woodlands in the region. Hundreds of years of woodland management produced a beautifully wooded landscape rich in fauna and flora.
Many of our rare and declining woodland species, including Grizzled Skipper, Dingy Skipper, White Admiral, Clay Fan-foot and Olive Crescent can be found here.
There are many opportunities for you to get involved including enjoying project events and during the winter, work parties undertaking practical conservation tasks on key sites in the project area.
